Cabbage Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. shredded cabbage
    2 green peppers
    1 pimento or small jar
    4 medium onions
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Shred the cabbage and chop the peppers, pimento and onions. Mix.
    Put all the other ingredients in a saucepan.
    Bring to a good rolling boil and pour over the vegetables while hot.
    Mix again.
    Make at least a day ahead.
    Keeps well.
    Serves 15 to 18.
