My Sister Linda'S Beef Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. salt
    1 dozen peppercorns
    2 bay leaves
    Tops (leafy) of celery
    1 onion, quartered
    1 cup chopped carrots
    4 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    4 lbs. short ribs
    1 cup onion - chopped & sauteed in 2 Tbsp. butter
    6 carrots - chopped
    6 stalks celery - chopped
    1 cup barley
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    4 chicken bouillon cubes
Preparation
    Add above to broth.
    Cook 1 hour.
    When almost done, add 6 shakes of thyme powder.
    Then add the shredded meat.
