Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. milk (sour)
    2 eggs
    1 c. nut meats
    1 tsp. cloves, cinnamon and allspice
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    about 1 lb. prunes, cooked, pitted and chopped
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening. Add beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Add gradually to milk. Add chopped nuts and prunes. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
