Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. cool water
Preparation
    Cut shortening into flour and salt.
    Add beaten egg.
    Stir in water.
    Knead until smooth.
    Extra flour if needed.
    Divide in 3 sections.
    Roll out on floured surface.
    Cut in squares and drop into boiled chicken.
    Cook until done.
