Rice With Black Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 (16 oz.) can black beans, undrained
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 c. Minute instant brown rice
Preparation
    Cook and stir onion in hot oil until tender but not browned. Add tomatoes, beans and seasonings.
    Bring to boil.
    Stir in rice. Return to boil.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
