Bacon-Scallion Mashed Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. all-purpose potatoes, peeled and cut in 1-inch chunks
    4 cloves garlic, peeled
    5 strips bacon, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
    1 c. thinly sliced scallions
    1/2 c. 1% low-fat milk, warmed
    1/2 c. reduced-fat sour cream
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground pepper
Preparation
    Cook potatoes and garlic in a large pot with lightly salted water to cover 13 to 15 minutes until potatoes are fork-tender.
