Cucumber Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 large green cukes, peeled and seeded
    2 c. ground onions
    1/2 c. salt
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 c. flour
    6 c. sugar
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Grind cukes and onions in meat grinder, then sprinkle with the salt.
    Let stand 2 hours, then drain.
    Heat 1 quart vinegar.
    Mix the flour, sugar, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed with 1/2 cup vinegar, then add to hot vinegar.
    Cook slowly until thick, then add ground mixture.
    Cook 10 minutes.
    Makes about 8 pints.
