Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. rum flavoring
1 tsp. coconut extract
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Cream
butter
and
shortening;
gradually
add
3 cups sugar, beating
until
light
and
fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating
after
each
addition.
Combine
flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Mix
just until blended.
Stir in rum and coconut flavorings. Pour
batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
