Ingredients

1 qt. fresh cooked beets or 2 cans sliced beets
1/3 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. beet water
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch, vinegar and water.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add beets.
Stir well.
Can add 1 tablespoons butter.
Serve warm or cold.
