Tomato Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef (steak or roast), cut in 1-inch cubes
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 can tomato soup
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    salt and pepper
    1 soup can water
    6 small onions or 3 large, quartered
    3 large potatoes, cut in cubes
Preparation
    Dust meat with flour.
    Brown in oil in Dutch oven.
    Add soup and water.
    Cover and simmer 1 to 2 hours.
    Add vegetables and seasonings.
    Cook 1 hour, until tender.
