Meat Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 can tomato paste
    1 1/2 paste cans water
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    salt and pepper
    spatine seasoning (optional)
    oregano
    1 lb. ground beef
Preparation
    In a large cooking pot, saute onion in oil. Combine next 5 ingredients. Cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours, stirring often.
    Cook meat until done and light brown. Drain and add meat, spatine and a little oregano to sauce.
    Cook about 20 minutes longer.
    Use with spaghetti, lasagna, etc.
