Piccalilli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. ground tomatoes
    1 pt. ground onions
    1 pt. vinegar
    1/4 c. salt
    2 large green peppers
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 box mixed pickling spice
    2 large red peppers
Preparation
    Grind and measure vegetables; mix in a large bowl.
    Add salt. Let stand overnight.
    Drain.
    Put spices in cheesecloth.
    Tie firmly.
    Cook 1/2 hour.
    Seal in sterile jars.
