Cocoa Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 egg yolks
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 baked 9-inch pie shell
2 egg whites
4 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Combine cocoa, sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan.
Add milk slowly, stirring well.
Cook and stir constantly until mixture comes to a boil and is thickened.
Stir in egg yolks, one at a time.
Cook, stirring constantly, about 3 minutes or longer. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
Cool slightly, then pour into a baked pie shell.
