Indian Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    3 tsp. butter
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    4 eggs, well beaten
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. mace
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Scald the milk.
    Add butter.
    Gradually beat in the corn meal. Stir until slightly thickened.
    Remove from stove.
    Add other ingredients, beating well.
    Pour into a well buttered casserole. Bake in a 275\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 oven for 2 hours.
    Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
