Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

2 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. instant milk cocoa
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 (1 oz. size) bottles red food color
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vinegar
2 eggs
Preparation

Sift flour, cocoa and salt.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add color and vanilla.
Mix milk, vinegar and soda.
Add dry ingredients; mix at low speed.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes, depending on size of cake pan.
