Italian Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. roast (preferably rump roast)
    2 Tbsp. plus 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 clove garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 tsp. crushed oregano
    1 qt. plus 1 c. water
    1 whole bay leaf
    2 1/2 tsp. Italian red pepper, crushed
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except meat.
    Bring to a boil.
    Pour over meat in a roaster.
    Bake 2 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0 (internal meat temperature 155\u00b0).
    Cool completely; save liquid.
    Slice meat paper thin.
    Put slices back in the juice and refrigerate overnight.
    Heat and serve.
    Be sure to save all the liquid and use on sandwiches.
