Santa'S Whiskers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. milk
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. finely chopped red or green candied cherries
    1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
    1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Beat butter for 30 seconds. Add sugar. Beat until fluffy.
    Add milk and vanilla. Beat well. Stir in flour, then cherries and pecans. Shape into three 7-inch long rolls.
    Roll in flaked coconut to coat.
    (Or, if desired, stir coconut into the dough instead of coating rolls.)
    Wrap in waxed paper or clear plastic wrap. Chill thoroughly.
    Cut into 1/4-inch slices.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven about 12 minutes or until edges are golden. Remove to wire rack. Cool.
    Makes about 80.
