Carrot Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. cooked, mashed carrots
    2 1/4 t. baking powder
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 t. orange flavoring
    1 t vanilla
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/4 t. salt
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1 T. butter
    1 t. orange juice
Preparation
    Cream shortening, eggs, sugar and carrots. Add flavoring and dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes. For frosting, mix together the confectioners sugar, butter and orange juice. Spread over cooled cookies.
