Holiday Lizzies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar (white and brown)
    1/3 c. butter
    1/2 c. whiskey
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. candied pineapple, chopped large
    1 lb. candied cherries, cut into thirds
    1 lb. pecans
    1 lb. chopped dates
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add eggs, well beaten.
    Flour fruit and nuts with 1/2 of flour.
    Add remaining flour to egg mixture, then add soda, salt, milk, whiskey and fruit; mix thoroughly. Drop from tip of spoon on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake in slow oven at 300\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
