Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Stir together first 3 ingredients; set aside.
    In mixer bowl beat butter or margarine and shortening on medium speed, for 30 seconds.
    Add brown sugar and sugar, beat until fluffy, add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
    Add dry ingredients to mixture and beat until well blended.
    Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
    Drop dough by teaspoon 2 inches apart.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
    Makes about 72 cookies.
