Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. white syrup
    1 c. water
    1 lb. Spanish raw peanuts
    1 tsp. red food coloring
    1 stick oleo
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Bring sugar, water and syrup to boil.
    Add peanuts and food coloring; boil until it gets to hard ball on candy thermometer, about 20 to 30 minutes.
    Add oleo and salt; remove from heat. Beat until thick; pour into buttered pan or make patties.
