Betty'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
5 tsp. cocoa
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix well and pour in greased and floured 9 x 9-inch cake pan and bake approximately 40 minutes or until toothpick test comes out clean.
