Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can sauerkraut, drain and save juice
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 green peppers, chopped
    2 grated carrots
    1 c. diced celery
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Boil sugar, 1/2 cup kraut juice and vinegar.
    Boil to a rolling boil.
    Pour over vegetables and let set for at least 12 hours.
