Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream first 3 ingredients together; add egg.
    Add the rest of the dry ingredients.
    Divide the dough in half.
    Roll into long sausages.
    Roll in sugar then cut in 1-inch lengths, place on cookie sheet 1 inch apart.
