Italian Smothered Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 onion, chopped
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
2 Tbsp. 57 sauce
4 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
round steak, tenderized (according to family size)
1 large can stewed tomatoes
6 to 8 slices cheese
Preparation

Simmer chopped onions in skillet with a little oil.
Beat together eggs, milk and 57 sauce.
Dredge serving sized portions of the tenderized round steak in egg, milk and 57 sauce mixture that has been beaten together, then dip into flour with salt and garlic salt dry mixture until coated.
Lay over simmering onions in skillet and brown on both sides.
Put in large baking pan with each slice flat.
Pour chopped stewed tomatoes over pieces and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes until done.
Five minutes before done, put on slices of cheese and let melt; serve.
