Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. frozen peas
    1/2 head shredded lettuce
    1/4 c. diced green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped mild onion
    4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    8 slices diced, cooked bacon
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Shred lettuce; cover bottom of glass dish.
    Add other 5 ingredients, layer at a time.
    Spread on mayonnaise as frosting, then sprinkle with cheese.
    Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
    Stays fresh for a week.
    Serves 12 to 14.
