Granny'S Chuck Wagon Chili(Club Member: Brandi Cook) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. boneless chuck steak, cubed
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 large green pepper
    2 cloves garlic
    1 can whole tomatoes
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 c. water
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil in a Dutch oven.
    Remove meat; reserve drippings.
    Saute 3/4 cup onion, green pepper and garlic in reserved drippings until tender.
    Add meat and next 6 ingredients, mixing well.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Sprinkle with onion and cheese when ready to serve.
