Grandmother'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. molasses
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. ginger powder
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Beat sugar, Crisco and eggs until fluffy. Stir in molasses. Mix dry ingredients together; add in small amounts with buttermilk to the sugar, Crisco, eggs and molasses mixture. Blend well. Spread evenly in a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes, until a pick in center comes out clean. Cool in pan.
