Cajun Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium bell pepper, finely chopped
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato puree
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    2 bay leaves
    1 Tbsp. minced garlic
    1 Tbsp. hot sauce (Tabasco sauce or Louisiana hot sauce)
Preparation
    In medium saucepan, saute the onion and pepper in olive oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Cool, covered, in refrigerator.
