Corn And Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    2 (16 oz.) cans whole kernel corn, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    2 c. chopped onion
    2 c. chopped, peeled cucumber
    2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 c. chopped celery
    2 small chili peppers, seeded and diced
    1 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. cold water
Preparation
    In a large pot, combine all ingredients except cornstarch and water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 30 to 40 minutes.
    Stir cornstarch and water until well blended.
    Add to vegetables and stir until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Ladle mixture into hot jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.
    Adjust lids.
    Process in boiling water bath 15 minutes.
    Makes 4 1/2 pints.
