Zucchini Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. Cheddar cheese slices
    1/4 c. (4 Tbsp.) butter, melted
    3 c. rye bread cubes
    4 c. thinly sliced zucchini
    2 Tbsp. onion flakes or minced
    3 tomatoes, sliced
    2 Tbsp. sweet pepper flakes or minced
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of black pepper
Preparation
    Cut extra long slices of cheese into 3 equal portions (this makes 12 slices).
    Pour melted butter over rye bread cubes; mix thoroughly.
    Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Alternately place layers of zucchini, onion, tomato, pepper, cheese and bread cubes in casserole.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Repeat process twice, ending with bread cubes.
    Cover; bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 1 hour, or until vegetables are tender.
    Serve hot. Makes 6 servings.
