Pickled Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. green beans
    2 large onions, sliced thin (2 c.)
    2 c. sliced celery
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    4 tsp. pickling salt
    2 tsp. turmeric
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Wash beans; cut in 1 1/2-inch pieces.
    Cook beans, onion and celery in boiling water 10 minutes or until tender.
    Drain well. Combine sugar, mustard seed, salt, turmeric, vinegar and water in large saucepan.
    Bring to boil.
    Add vegetables; simmer 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
    Cool well and refrigerate.
