Seven Minute Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/3 c. cold water
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a double boiler, combine all of the ingredients except vanilla.
    Stir well; beat at high speed over boiling water (keeping water from touching bottom of pan), until frosting forms soft peaks.
    Remove from boiler; continue to beat on low speed until cool and frosting forms stiff peaks, 3 to 4 minutes.
