Creamed Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped onion
3 Tbsp. butter
2 c. cabbage
1 c. carrots
1 c. potatoes
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 c. chicken broth
3 c. milk
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. flour, mixed with some water
1 c. grated sharp cheese
Preparation

Simmer onion and butter until tender.
Add cabbage (chopped fine), carrots (sliced or chopped) and potatoes (diced).
Simmer, covered, stirring often, 20 minutes.
Add paprika, chicken broth, milk and salt and pepper to taste.
Heat to just boiling.
Reduce heat.
Add flour with water to thicken.
Add sharp cheese and let melt (optional).
