Cinnamon Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. large cukes, peeled, cored and sliced
    2 c. lime
    8 1/2 qt. water
    1 c. vinegar
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 Tbsp. alum
    enough water to cover cukes
    2 c. water
    10 c. sugar
    7 1/2 oz. cinnamon red hot candies
    5 sticks cinnamon
    2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Bring the ingredients to a boil; add cukes and let set overnight.
    Bring to a boil again.
    Let set to room temperature. Bring to a boil again, put in jars and seal.
    Makes about 10 pints.
