Jingle Bells Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. whole cloves
    1 Tbsp. allspice
    1 Tbsp. mace
    1 qt. sugar
    1 stick cinnamon
Preparation
    Cook carrots until skin comes off.
    Mix syrup made of vinegar and spices; pour over carrots.
    Set overnight.
    Bring to boil; remove spices and add carrots to jars.
    Fill within 1/2 inch of top jar with hot spiced syrup.
    Seal process in water bath.
