Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. baking cocoa
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour milk*
1/2 c. hot water

Preparation

*Add a few drops vinegar to make sour milk.
