Hash Brown Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion
    1 stick butter
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 (2 lb.) frozen hash browns
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. grated Cheddar cheese
    dash of salt
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    2 c. bread crumbs
    16 oz. sour cream
Preparation
    Brown the onion in 1/2 stick butter.
    In a large bowl, mix potatoes, soups, cheese, sour cream, salt and onion.
    Put in a 3-quart baking dish.
    Melt 1/2 stick butter.
    Mix with bread crumbs and sprinkle on top of potatoes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
