Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour (if whole wheat flour is used, reduce to 3 c.)
    4 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. oil
    1 1/2 c. honey
    3 c. applesauce
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped dates
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Sift together flour, soda, salt, cocoa, cloves, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon.
    Measure oil and honey in same cup (honey slips out if measured after oil).
    Add oil, honey, applesauce, raisins, dates and nuts to dry ingredients; mix well.
    Pour batter into two 8-inch square pans which have been greased and floured.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 15 minutes longer.
    Cool slightly and turn out on cake rack to cool completely.
