Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. shelled, raw peanuts
    2 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, corn syrup and peanuts in a 2 quart microwavable container.
    Stir to mix.
    Microwave on high for 4 minutes.
    Stir.
    Microwave for an additional 3 minutes.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Stir.
    Microwave for another 2 minutes. Remove from microwave. Quickly stir in the baking soda. Do not overstir.
    Pour immediately onto a well buttered baking sheet. Allow to cool completely.
    Break into pieces.
