Hobo Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. fresh spareribs
    2/3 c. catsup
    1/2 c. bottled smoke-flavor barbecue sauce
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
Preparation
    Simmer strips, covered, in boiling salted water in a kettle 1 hour or just until tender; drain.
    When ready to grill, thread strips, accordion-style, onto long skewers.
    Mix catsup, barbecue sauce and corn syrup in a small saucepan.
    Brush part over ribs. Place on grill about 6 inches above hot coals.
    Grill, turning and brushing often with remaining sauce, 20 minutes or until richly glazed.
