Chow-Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. chopped cabbage
    4 or 5 large, chopped green peppers
    3 or 4 large onions
    1/2 gal. chopped green tomatoes
    4 or 5 slightly ripe tomatoes
    1/2 c. salt
    8 or 9 medium cucumbers
    4 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
    6 c. sugar
Preparation
    All vegetables need to be chopped.
    Mix together.
    Bring vinegar, water, sugar and salt to a boil.
    Add vegetables and simmer 3 minutes.
    Pack in jars and cook in hot water bath 5 minutes.
    Makes 11 or 12 pints.
