Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/2 c. syrup
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. soda
2 eggs
2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream the butter, syrup, sugar and eggs.
Add milk and vanilla.
Gradually work flour into mixture until stiff enough to roll (not too stiff).
Roll out and cut into shapes.
Bake in a moderate oven until brown.
