German Sweet Chocolate Cake With Coconut-Pecan Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Baker's German's sweet chocolate
    1/2 c. water (boiling)
    1 c. butter, margarine or shortening
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks, unbeaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Melt chocolate in boiling water.
    Cool. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at a time.
    Beat after each addition. Add chocolate and vanilla.
