Curried Pumpkin Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/2 to 1 tsp. curry powder
    1 (15 oz.) can solid-pack pumpkin
    1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 Tbsp. honey
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    fresh chives (optional)
Preparation
    In large saucepan, saut the onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour and curry powder until blended.
    Gradually add broth.
    Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
    Add pumpkin, milk, honey, salt, pepper and nutmeg; heat through.
    Serve garnished with fresh chives, if desired. Makes 6 servings.
