Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 lb. brown sugar
    3/4 c. oleo
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. Brer Rabbit syrup (molasses)
    1 Tbsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix the first 3 ingredients into crumbs.
    Reserve 1 cup crumbs.
    Pour water, syrup and soda over the crumbs in the bowl. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cover with the reserved crumbs. Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 50 to 60 minutes.
    Test with toothpick to be sure not to overbake.
