Cincinnati Chili(Makes 8 Servings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
2 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped (1 c.)
3 tsp. minced garlic
3 bay leaves
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground allspice
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
8 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
Preparation

Melt butter in large Dutch oven.
Add beef, onion, garlic and bay leaves.
Cook over high heat, stirring to break up large pieces, until beef loses its pink color.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer, uncovered, for 3 hours.
Discard bay leaves. Serve over spaghetti and offer side dishes of beans (either red kidney or chili beans), grated American cheese and chopped green onions, to be added as each person wishes.
