Beatnik Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. cocoa
3/4 c. salad oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. canned beets
2 eggs, beaten
Preparation

Grease and flour 8 x 12 x 2-inch pan.
Blend sugar, flour, salt and soda.
Combine cocoa, oil and vanilla.
Add blended dry ingredients and mix well.
Grind beets before measuring, then add with beaten eggs to batter mixture.
Mix well.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
