Applesauce Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. applesauce
2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 4 Tbsp. water
2 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. raisins
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add applesauce and soda, then dry ingredients, raisins and nuts, if desired.
Bake at 350\u00b0.
