Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. flour
1 stick butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. molasses (Grandma's molasses)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. coriander
1 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. cardamon
2 tsp. dried orange peel
Preparation

Mix the flour with all spices except orange peel.
Mix butter and sugar together gradually, then add egg, orange peel and molasses.
Gradually add flour and spice mixture.
Mixture is very thin.
Cover with Saran Wrap and towel and leave on counter in warm place overnight.
Will thicken.
Grease pan.
Take small amounts and roll very thin.
Cut in small shapes.
Bake at 300\u00b0 about 8 to 10 minutes until brown.
Let cool and then put in airtight container.
